Do I have to take the GRE to get into MPH programs or is the MCAT sufficient? I got a 30, will that get me into some places? Thanks!

Usually if you are actually a doctor or are in med school now and have taken the MCAT, they'll accept it in place of the GRE. If you haven't started med school, they'll probably want the GRE. You should check with the schools to which you're planning to apply.

MCAT can be substituted for GRE scores at most places I know (whether or not you have completed or are enrolled in medical school) and a 30 should be fine for many programs.

What MCAT scores do the top programs (Harvard, JH) look for? If I scored average on the MCAT, would it be smart for me to take the GRE in order to improve my chances?

Harvard don't indicate a minimum GRE score and does not even keep track of averages or any information concerning a GRE score. Are you planning on applying to both of those programs this year? Which progam are you applying to at Harvard?

I'm not applying this year, as I am a 2nd year med student and I think I'd want to apply after 3rd year. I am not even sure that I WILL apply, I am just trying to do prelim research.

However I am interested in the Population and International Health and Society, Human Development, and Health programs at Harvard. Are you affiliated with HSPH?

Does anyone know about JH and MCAT scores?
