Hey all,

I just started a pimp questions list that needs some experienced 3rd and 4th years to add the questions and answers they've been pimped on. You might even learn a thing or two in the process. Thanks for your help!

Nice thread. I was asked about the fetal pO2 and physiologic adaptations while in the OR during my OB/GYN rotation.

- Hesselbachs triangle
- How much 1 unit of blood changes the H/H
- SMALL BOWEL OBSTRUCTION CAUSES
- Symptoms of a PE

How about one from each core per month spent in that core.
IM: 1) Name 4 types of lung cancer and the endocrinologic snydromes associated with a few of them.
2) Name the estimated survival times in the various degrees of Aortic stenosis if untreated.
3) Treatment of and main Dx charicteristic of DKA.
OB: 1) Differentiating factor(s) b/t preeclampsia and eclampsia.
2) Calculate EDC for LMP of ...
Peds:1) Tx of otitis media
Surgery: 1) (aside from Hesselbachs triangle) rulle of twos for Meckels diverticulm
2) K+ replacement for K+ of...( IM meets Surg)
3) What is the blood supply to anything.
Psych: 1) Differentiating factor in agoraphobia vs gen anxiety or whatever vs whatever 🙂

Pimp questions are no mystery. It's just all the mundane crap that you eventually learn for the shelf exam. The only problem is that they fire all the ******* questions at you before you have the chance to even crack the spine of you "review" book.

Pimping trivia note: 'Pimp' is an acronym for Put In My Place.

It achieves that goal very well.
