Reaching out for advice/leads/help as civilian physician spouse hoping to practice interventional pain/sports/spine in Guam. Wife and I are PCSing late September. Appreciate any help in advance!

You should contact your sponsor (or cold call the department the service member would be in if you don’t yet have orders) and see if they know anyone moonlighting or working at one of the civilian hospitals there that can get you in contact with the relevant department. Guam is probably the only place to be able to do meaningful civilian medical work overseas since it’s still a US territory. Getting hired at military hospitals as a spouse is a lot harder than it should be.

There are a lot of spouses of active duty that work out in town in Guam.

Try:

Guam Regional Medical City (private)
Guam Memorial Hospital (public)
Guam Radiology Consultants

Agreed with others…it’s possible. I would be active in the process of looking for options. You may beed to be flexible. Urgent care? Your primary residency?
