did anyone else get an interview at GW? it's my first interview, and its scheduled on my birthday! i guess i should probably keep it...

Congratulations. I got an interview as well. It's nice to have the first one on the books! When did you hear from them? I got the invite by snail mail Friday.

I got an email saying that they received my application on July 20th, but I never got that final email telling me that my file was complete- which is strange. I am assuming they got all my letters though. I got the interview invite via snail mail yesterday. yay! maybe the interviewer will sympathize because its my birthday...ha.

allisonbk, I got an email saying they received my secondary on 7/18. The message said they would send a follow-up email when my file was complete, but that never happened. My LOR's went out electronically via Interfolio on 7/13. Good luck to you.

Im just curious, do they send the invites to our "preferred address" or permanent address? This is so frustrating because mail goes to both addresses when I really want it to go to my "preffered" address... Thanks.

Congrats everyone on getting interviews! I just overnighted my secondary to GW this past thursday so it should have arrived on Friday. Does anyone know how long they take to let you know they got it? I was mailing a bunch and am worried it didn't get there. Thanks!

yeah i understand. with all this rush to get our aps in early, it seems that the least we should worry about are our recs being in on time... but yes, mine went out just last week actually... so i wont be complete in some schools until this week.

crap, i put my university address as my preferred one because i expected to get most of my snail mail in the fall, now i have to wait for that mail to get forwarded to my summer address.

When did you send in ur app? And were your letters on virtual evals? I have bee complete forever ago and no email. Same goes with Tulane.... 😡

yeah i have been complete for a long time now and the only reason I knew was because I called in. No email however. I used virtual evals.

So i called them and they said that they were having difficulties downloading the letters from virtual evals. I have heard this from other schools such as Case also. It seems like using this system is actually slower for some schools than mailing in.

I just got an interview invite today by snail mail (I'm in CA). They never e-mailed me saying I was complete. I only got an e-mail on July 20 saying they received my secondary app but that I still needed to send in my LORs. Good luck to you all!

Thats great. when was your application complete? I was complete ahead of alot of these people so I am starting to lose hope already...

yeah, same here. i submitted in early july and got the "all complete" e-mail on 7/27. no word yet.

I havent even been told I am complete. I do not know if thats a bad thing though as everyone who has gotten an interview hasnt been told so either. Has anyone who has been told they are complete gotten one? Ahh the mystery of adcoms.... 🙄

I took back that post and reposted. My letters were avaiable at the same time I sent in my secondary on July 18th I only got the we got your secondary email and have heard nothing since. Thinking of calling today.

i called yesterday to check my status even though i had recieved the email saying i was complete on 7-27...Because I saw this thread and my mail is screwed up because I recently moved. Anyhow, they said the same thing, your complete but still under review.

my preferred address is the same as my permanent, so i'm not the best person to help you figure out where they send the invites.

as far as being complete with GW, i'm not sure exactly when they got everything since i never got an e-mail notifying me that my app was complete, but i do know that my advisor mailed my letters on 7/25... hope this helps!

Pulling this thread back up from page 13. Anyone get any info from GW? Got the secondary received email July 22, used virtual evals (they said they had probs with vevals), called and they said I was complete though, still no word from them.

Thanks, my secondary was received on the 25th and my LOR's probably the 26th or 27th, don't know for sure.

so I called them and all of us that used Virtual Evals are pretty much being screwed cuz GW was a school that couldn't figure out how to Download them and match them up with our secondaries.
