Well...yeah. 😉

And I'm happy to bequeath my bumping job. But remember, this position carries serious responsibility.

Maybe there will be an end of the week surprise for some of us over the next 2 days! I'm still on my Miami Heat winning the championships being a good sign kick! :luck:

Has anyone been in touch with Dean McQuail or the admissions office at all with regards to what might be going on? Let's see what kind of message they're sending us now that they've started to let in non-top list people.

Hi all,

Sorry for not posting this earlier, but I haven't really been online since the BIG DAY 😀

I was notified of my acceptance in the same way tacrum was!

GW has been my top choice from the beginning of all this. I would have done anything to study medicine at GW. Now, I am so grateful that GW has given me the opportunity to realize my dream. I couldn't ask for anything more.

To all those still on the WL - hang in there and never give up!!

And to everyone on this thread - thank you for all your support 👍

GW HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Lubb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did u get the call on the 20th also??

Congratulations Lubb! 😀
Give us all the details!

At 8am on the 20th, a text message woke me up from sleep. I remember thinking, it might be GWU (the email i use for this medschool process forwards the email automatically to my cell phone as a text message). I look at my phone, it's one of my friends who texts me while walking to work. I knew it was too good to be true. I go back to sleep. At 826am, I am again startled by another text message, frustrated I checked my phone again. This time it was an email instructing me to call the Dean. I didn't know what to make of it. I called immediately. The rest is a total blur, lol. After the phone call, I stayed in my bedroom for another 15mins, as I was emotional. I then went to my moms business and told her the news. Called my Dad. They are still in disbelief.

It's been 4 years since I graduated from undergrad, I'm 26, I feel like i've been on a million waitlists, but it was all worth it, and it was all for a reason, because it brought me to GWU. This is a great school and there is no other medical school I would have wanted to go to over GWU!

The sense of relief from anxiety is amazing, but the excitement has left me
with restless sleep. I can't wait to start - hopefully I don't die from happiness before classes starts 🙂

Best of luck to waitlisters :luck:

Thank you. Interestingly, my very first classmate I met was Tacrum. We met in the admissions office, I dind't know he was SDN's Tacrum43 until a few days after our brief meeting.

if you don't mind me asking, were you part of the high piority waitlist group or the "fluid and organic" regular pool?

Congrats!! That is so awesome. I'm so happy to hear that there is still movement on the list.

May I ask how many LOI's you sent???

 Yep, I had no idea who you were either. And I guess you were the first classmate I've met too (since I wasn't a part of the class until recently), although I've met Waitman in person too. It's all one big happy SDN family. I sure hope they will have a few more spots open up for some more of the peeps on this thread.

I remember you saying "congratulations" to me, but I didn't say it back. I apologize. I was kind of in shock to actually be in the office because I'd been accepted. Speech was kind of difficult at the time. So, "Congratulations, Alex." 👍

Do you know where you're living? I'm thinking about somewhere in Arlington along the orange line. They don't budget much for rent though, $900/month? You can't get a decent apartment for that in DC.

Good luck everyone! This is gonna be THE week for all of us!! :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

Wow! Congrats to you both! I am going absolutely nuts right now waiting. Can you tell me if either of you were on the regular waitlist or the priority one? (sorry for asking this again, but I just have no idea if there is even any use hoping for a call if only high priority applicants are getting off the waitlist)

I believe we were both on the regular waitlist. I know I was. Fluid and organic, baby. 🙂

FYI, there is a $3,000 tuition deposit that becomes non-refundable on July 1st, so that might possibly spur a little movement soon. :luck:

Thanks Buddy! I'm still in shock myself, but I am really excited to hit the ground running. As far as living, dunno yet, but most likely Jefferson House, Bonwit, or Claridge house.

Good luck to you all

Bump. I called yesterday and they had no new news. Just that in the past they've accepted people in July and August.

🙁

No page 2!
Good luck this week everyone! 😀

What were you doing still sleeping at 8 am?
J/K That's awesome, you're gonna love it!! Don't feel bad about your age either, I was almost 28 when I started!! 😱

so im guessing the majority of offers have been made off the list. Im just really hoping that one or two will still come in July. The last offers (before 6/20) came on 5/16, so Im thinking it will at least be 2 or 3 weeks before we might hear again 😳 Has everyone here submitted LOI's to GW?? :luck: :luck:

Hey guys-

Don't lose hope yet! I was pulled off of another waitlist, and I will be withdrawing from GW either today or tomorrow. I hope the spot goes to one of you guys! 👍

Good luck to all of you!

Yeah, let's hope that we will hear something come mid July. I submitted my LOI right after I received my waitlist letter. I have also sent another update, reiterating my intent.

BUMP... and while I'm here..

Congrats to whoever is opening up a waitlist spot. I hope it will go to someone who deserves it (like me!!) 🙂 🙂 🙂

Good luck everybody!!!! :luck: :luck: :luck:

I went ahead and reapplyed a week ago, and already got a secondary from GW... do you think it would help coughing up the cash and sending in the secondary for next year? Would it show dedication and interest, or is it a waste of money?

do you want to get in? secondary might help....

BUMP..

btw... i think you need to resubmit secondary every year that you apply. and I wouldn't just reuse the same answers you gave last year.
