What a humanitarian - keeping the waitlist hopes alive even though he's already in....now that's a man with a heart.... 😛

Hallelujah!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
And may the waitlist movement continue for all the other hopefuls on this thread!

LUBDUBB said:Hi all,
Sorry for not posting this earlier, but I haven't really been online since the BIG DAY 😀
I was notified of my acceptance in the same way tacrum was!
GW has been my top choice from the beginning of all this. I would have done anything to study medicine at GW. Now, I am so grateful that GW has given me the opportunity to realize my dream. I couldn't ask for anything more.
To all those still on the WL - hang in there and never give up!!
And to everyone on this thread - thank you for all your support 👍

LUBDUBB said:At 8am on the 20th, a text message woke me up from sleep. I remember thinking, it might be GWU (the email i use for this medschool process forwards the email automatically to my cell phone as a text message). I look at my phone, it's one of my friends who texts me while walking to work. I knew it was too good to be true. I go back to sleep. At 826am, I am again startled by another text message, frustrated I checked my phone again. This time it was an email instructing me to call the Dean. I didn't know what to make of it. I called immediately. The rest is a total blur, lol. After the phone call, I stayed in my bedroom for another 15mins, as I was emotional. I then went to my moms business and told her the news. Called my Dad. They are still in disbelief.
It's been 4 years since I graduated from undergrad, I'm 26, I feel like i've been on a million waitlists, but it was all worth it, and it was all for a reason, because it brought me to GWU. This is a great school and there is no other medical school I would have wanted to go to over GWU!
The sense of relief from anxiety is amazing, but the excitement has left me
with restless sleep. I can't wait to start - hopefully I don't die from happiness before classes starts 🙂
Best of luck to waitlisters![]()
Vizsla said:awesome story 😀 ....I cant even imagine what it must feel like getting that call. As for the rest of us, is anyone doing anything in particular to show interst? Ive tried submitting updates but i dunno if its having much of an effect....

tacrum43 said:Yep, I had no idea who you were either. And I guess you were the first classmate I've met too (since I wasn't a part of the class until recently), although I've met Waitman in person too. It's all one big happy SDN family. I sure hope they will have a few more spots open up for some more of the peeps on this thread.
I remember you saying "congratulations" to me, but I didn't say it back. I apologize. I was kind of in shock to actually be in the office because I'd been accepted. Speech was kind of difficult at the time. So, "Congratulations, Alex." 👍
Do you know where you're living? I'm thinking about somewhere in Arlington along the orange line. They don't budget much for rent though, $900/month? You can't get a decent apartment for that in DC.
impatient1484 said:Wow! Congrats to you both! I am going absolutely nuts right now waiting. Can you tell me if either of you were on the regular waitlist or the priority one? (sorry for asking this again, but I just have no idea if there is even any use hoping for a call if only high priority applicants are getting off the waitlist)

Vizsla said:so im guessing the majority of offers have been made off the list. Im just really hoping that one or two will still come in July. The last offers (before 6/20) came on 5/16, so Im thinking it will at least be 2 or 3 weeks before we might hear again 😳 Has everyone here submitted LOI's to GW??![]()
