I emailed the program director and he said that they will be contacting applicants in about a month

They emailed me. I will keep you posted on how it goes. I believe they just started reviewing apps.

I got an email today that I have an interview on the 23rd : ) they must have just started sending out invites!

I applied! I’m waiting to hear back, for those of you that applied and got interviews what were your credentials if you don’t mind me asking

Good luck on your interviews! I applied back in October and still waiting to hear back! I hope I at least get an interview since I live in the local area!

Thank you, and good luck! I'm local as well, if that helps. Not sure if proximity has been a factor in the interview selection process or not.

I have an interview on the 24th. They said it will take an hour and that there is both verbal and written portions. What do you think is going to be on the written portion?

This is my first year applying to OT schools and I have been rejected from Usciences and Philly U and waitlisted for Salus University. I graduated from West Chester University in 2016 and i've been working in a pediatric OT gym for two years. My GPA 3.5 and my GRE scores were horrible, which explains the quick rejection from those two schools haha. I really have my fingers crossed for GM, I don't think I can bear another year of OTCAS and the waiting...

I'm not sure. My interview is at 1:15. I'm not a bad writer, but timed prompts definitely make me nervous. Hopefully the question is easy for us to answer and inspires lots of well articulated ideas.

Are you local? Maybe we can private message each other after and compare to see it we were given the same prompt/asked the same questions/discuss what we thought about the program.

Yes I live about 20 minutes away. I thought the interview flew by! The two program heads were very nice, easy to talk to and excited about starting the program. I wonder when we should expect to hear back.

I had my interview on the 23rd @ 1:30
All the faculty are so nice and it's my top choice. I live in California & would be happy to move that far for the program
How did you hear about the program, being from CA? I had my interview yesterday at 1:30 and I'm local but I left feeling very confused about the structure of the program. Compared to other interviews, I felt like I got a lot less information. I was pleased that we had 4 individual interviews, I just wish there had been more time allotted for questions. I found that each interviewer had so many questions prepared that it left little time to pose any of my own about the structure of the curriculum, financial aid, class size, timeline for hearing back, interaction with students of other programs within GM, etc. I have so many questions! I'm glad you are really excited about it. I would like to know more before I make a decision, if I get accepted

I thought the interviews went by really fast as well. One of my interviewers stuck straight to the questions and didn’t have much feedback on my answers which was weird. I didn’t ask any questions about scholarships. I’m sure you could call and get more information, I emailed them before my interview and they said to just give them a call with any questions.

I also emailed the interviewers after the interview with a follow up/thank you but haven’t heard back yet. I’m guessing they are just super busy?

Hello! I have been following this thread and I was wondering what types of questions were asked during the interview?

Typical questions like why do you want to do OT, what is OT, and then some questions like "what would you do if someone gave you the answers to an exam?"

On the GM website it says their program is on a "full-time" basis. Does this mean class every day? I will be working part time and I was hoping that classes were maybe three days a week like other programs.

I'm in complete shock and I feel like I acted like an excited crazy person on the phone but I just got a call a little bit ago and I have been accepted into the program!! I wish the best of luck to everybody that's still in the waiting process! : )

I got the call today at 5:30 that I was accepted!!! So excited! Officially giving up my seat to Midwestern to stay local!!

Those who have been accepted into the program, there are 4 of us that have started a chat on facebook. Private message me your name and I can find you and add you to it! : )

I have an interview this Friday. I’m super nervous. Is the interview a group or individual? How many interviewers? How was the written portion? I was told to meet at Siena Hall, but can’t find the building on the map. Sorry for the million questions. I’m stressing myself out lol. Any tips/ info would be helpful! Thank you!

The building was super hard to find. If you ask anyone, they direct you to a different building, where security basically sends you back to where you passed to get there. Does anyone remember which lot was pretty much right outside the building? You had to drive up a driveway to get to it.

Siena Hall is connected to Loyola hall but there is separate enterance on the side. There is a parking lot right by it but I can’t remember what it was called, I know it’s right in front of the enterance for Alexandria hall! Good luck on your interview!!

Does anyone know if its better/cheaper to dorm or to get an apartment instead? Also, is it common for grad students to dorm?
Thanks!

I’m not too sure but I think with the dorms you need to get a meal plan so that makes it more pricey. Are you going to Gwynedd Mercy?

For everyone accepted, how long did it take to hear back? Was it by mail, phone, or email?
