Hair Drug Testing

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Never have done a single drug test during medical training. Educational pedigree visible in my signature--all Upper Midwest.

Is that reasonable, given that my specialty has a nearly five-fold greater chance than the average resident to die of a drug overdose? Probably not. But that's the truth!

Since we as moderators write a lot of posts asking everyone to stay on topic, I wanted to write this post saying thank you to the vast majority of you for staying on topic. I appreciate it. This is a positive thread.

Not directly related new employment drug testing, but my hospital switched malpractice carriers partway through residency and required every physician on staff to get a urine drug screen within 3 days.
