Just out of morbid curiosity, in what form do decisions go out? Snail or email? Big envelope or small?

I thought they come in a regular sized envelope?😕

Hey guys, first year New Pathway here. The envelope was a big one, both in size and in meaning. I think it was yellow. Also, not to add any anxiety to the pot, but I remember that the rejections went out a day or two before the acceptances. Anyways, good luck to all of you and let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, Bostonguy. Hmm I thought I read somewhere that all envelopes are the same size, so that the rejected ppl actually read their rejection letters? ... ah well ... wish I could just get an email rejection and have the anxiety over with *cringe*
And so it's not crimson-colored huh, it's yellow.
Please let us know if/when you hear when the letters are sent out! 😛 many thanks!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!hey guys,
overhead from an adcom member in the hallways of hms today: all decisions have been made and will be sent out within the next week.
best of luck!

Does that mean the next 7 days or sometime next week i.e. Mar 16th
I just hope that rumor is true, and you guys on the East Coast start hearing soon. Sadly, I'm tired of waiting, and I interviewed in February. Good luck all, hopefully they are actually coming sometime in the next week.

Harvard is the worst for giving secondaries only to get their secondary fee$. Good luck regardless.

Somebody probably answered this already..so I apologize in advance. Do they send the letters/packets to the "current" or "permanent" (home) address?
Hey guys...is this too boring to answer or do you just not know the answer?😉 🙂
What on Earth makes you think that Harvard needs to get $$$ from secondary application fees?
From what I've been told, researchers at most top academic centers are told they need to fund themselves. They do this primarily through NIH funding. While a very small chunk of this goes back to the medical school, the bulk of the free funding that gets used by the medical school on a yearly basis to do things like get cadavers, hire staff, etc. (i.e. its operating budget) comes from tuition fees and other random expenses (like applications). Thus, while HMS researchers may get one billion NIH dollars a year, the amount of that the medical school sees is relatively limited.
There are only a handful of schools that screen pre-secondary. If you want to complain about a school's fees, how about Georgetown's 12,000 applicants at $135 a pop?

I actually told one of my interviewers they shouldn't accept me.
I am 99.99% sure I will be receiving a rejection later this month. I actually told one of my interviewers they shouldn't accept me (my exact words were something like, "If you want a student that is going to spend 20 hours a day at school, that is not me. I am dedicated but I have a life outside of school.") Interview suicide. No medical school wants to think youll have a life outside school. I guess I figured I had nothing to lose so I was totally honest (to the point of having verbal diarrhea).
That said, the .01% chance still makes me nervous.
I wish we could start a countdown on this thread. If only Harvard would be more open with us about when we will find out. I almost feel like I'm getting nervous for nothing😳

I would've considered that to be quite aggressive and shallow (paininting harvard with that broad brush)
it's not what you said but how you said it.
