So I’ve either missed the deadline to register as a 2nd degree-seeking student or the classes I need will be full by the time the non-degree seeking registration comes around at all the 4-year public colleges around me. At this point, would it be better to take the pre-reqs I need to retake (chem series, orgo) at a community college near me or harvard extension (which is online this upcoming year)?

I know online classes are looked down upon and some schools don’t prefer community college credits for pre-reqs either so I wanted to hear from people’s experiences!

CC > online, since there's an expectation things will be back to in-person next academic year.

Actually, what would be "better" would be to wait until you can get what you need, in person, at a 4 year institution. Setting up a false choice between two sub optimal options is going to lead to a sub optimal result.

Med school isn't going anywhere. No need to shoot yourself in the foot here. Given that you need to retake anything, you already have two strikes against you. Good luck.
