Hi Toothlord,
to tell you honestly before my BU interview I wanted to attend only UPenn. But after visiting the campus and meeting the students I realised that even BU is an excellent school.I realised that they prepare us very well for the NERB(north eastern regional board) which allows us to practice in 18 states..
And they were extremely friendly and never at any moment I thought that my character was being viewed under the microscope.
And in the end it only depends upon how good a dentist you are, when you plan to look for a job(I am not presently planning to specialise).
So if I will join the school from which I hear sooner.
I am taking up the didactic test at CWRU too,so even that is in my list..
Take care

I know one thing about the specialty programs in BU...... All of them have a tuition of 40K per year!!!!!!!! so, the question is after a debt of about more than 100K, would anyone like to double that up!!

you have to pay them to get a residency there? those people are really ruthless.

yes Kpat i meant the tuition not the bribe ,anyway i thought that if you get accepted to a residency programme you get paid a stipend.

Yeah. i know......just wanted to mess around a li'l bit.....
Well, some schools do pay a stipend.....but you do have to pay tuition.....The stipend varies from school to school and some schools with the current budget cut do not offer any stipend anymore.
Tuition is very low in some state schools and right now, compared to what I paid for my DMD, i feel like I am getting the education for free....

if things continue going this way for a long time i might go back to my country,it seems cheaper and more lucrative.

Hi Opal,
They told us that we are near the 'tail' of the admission process.
More than two third of the class is full.
There are a total of 60 seats for the academic session beginning fall 2004.
take care
