I've been accepted to school, done my taxes, filled out my FAFSA, applied for scholarships, and made a list of apartments I like near my school. Now I feel like I have absolutely NOTHING to do!
I'm still working as an English instructor but my job's a joke and my lesson plans are done. I'm going crazy with boredom.😴 I've already read two books this week, gone running everyday and tried to be as social as humanely possible but I still feel bored.
Is this happening to any other recent acceptees?

When is school starting????????????

get yourself a good anatomy book and start studying or try to learn a new language. spanish is often useful

i would give my left eye to be bored for a week right now. everyone says it enjoy your time off. seriously enjoy your time off. dont do anything high stress before school. get drunk on tuesdays, have sunday fundays, enjoy. you will miss it soon enough

I'd say forego the anatomy book or any medical book. The spanish class is a really really outstanding idea.

whew. now i dont feel so bad living my life of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. i just hope im still alive when school starts.

Thanks for the advice. I'm currently living in France and speak French fluently, but I suppose Spanish isn't a bad idea considering so many people in the US speak Spanish. Hola Senor! (I think that's about all know right now).

He estudiado español por años y todavia no puedo entender o decir nada cuando los hispanohablantes conversar rapidamente. Qué lamentable!

Go to Church and volunteer. Plenty of good things there.

I gotta finish up my last semester and graduate from my uni, but I still feel really lazy and don't care about undergraduate anymore. Be like me and pick up a coke and hookers habit. jk, take a spanish class cause that'll be really useful in the future. don't buy any books, just enjoy your time and learn espanol.

I have officially hit the big lazy - and quite possibly the winter blues! I have to fight to go to work in the morning. I have definately hit my ceiling at work and I am just itching to leave in June. And, I really have to find some form of motivation to get through my O-Chem Lab and my Biochem classes. I would so rather cook, read, knit or watch my netflix movies than study for my classes; hell, I would rather gouge my eyes out rather than study. Both of the classes are tres boring and I just can't find myself motivated to study for the exams. I really hope this demotivation disappears come August 🙄

I'm also having a hard time going to work every day. I graduated last year so I've been working full time since then.

I need the $$ so I'll have to work until August but I'm SOOOOO not motived to be here anymore. I don't know how I'm going to make it another 6 months. 😕

I completely understand Slim. I've convinced my dad to let me leave July 1st and then he will help me make my last month's rent because I really don't think I could work until August. I really might die of boredom!!! I really want some time to relax and travel a bit to see all the friends I have neglected through doing the post-bac the last few years. And it would just be nice to have a break....

I'm in the same boat. In fact, I've been on SDN all day today at work pretending like I don't have anything to do in the lab. 😀 Come on June!!!!

I'm so right there with you. I got my matriculation agreement a couple days ago and I haven't gotten much work done in the lab since then.

Don't tell my boss!!! (he's skiing)
