i interviewed there around the same time...i havent heard anything...are you out of state too?

the general rule for iowa is that if you're accepted rolling you'll hear 2-3 (or 4?) weeks post-interview. to the best of my knowledge, they only accept post-int during the rolling phase. otherwise, you'll hear something definitive around march 15. according to everyone i've talked to that has experience with thier trends, the vast majority of iowa's applicants don't hear anything until march, so you shouldn't worry that you haven't heard yet (especially since you're just in your 3rd week post-int).
hope this helps.

Yeah jifi i am from baltimore. Tell me what u thought of iowa
likes?
dislikes?

I like Iowa...higly ranked in primary care, reserach....I liked the Cell approach too...my only concern would be the small town but in general everyone that I met was very nice esp. the surrounding community. Whats your take?

This is the only interview that I have been on and they sold me. The CELLS seem cool and the new MEBR building is something to look forward to. What is really attractive to me is that they are recognized nationally for their primary care educatiton. I want to become a generalist and this place should suit me well. I like the PBL, that should enhance one's knowledge. Also when comes time for residency this should assist me as well. It was scary how perfect Iowa appeared, it almost was unreal. I disliked the weather and the tuition is high as hell. Iowa is definitely at the top of my list
What other schools are you considering?

D-zo

Im from Cal so the UCs would be my top choice but Iowa did impress me, they also have ethernet connections in lecture halls :)
I agree it is expensive for out state residents (45k?) but they have excellent matching stats for residency....altough like you Im considering primary care so I wont be making much $$$ once im done...during the interview i read somewhere; a student poll i think that asked students if they partied more than they studied....most said yeah except for this one girl that was like ...are you crazy im in med school!...so that gives me hope that there is some what of a nite-life in iowa

I interviewed jan 16th and I can't wait to hear from them! I loved the school...best of luck to everyone waiting to hear from IOWA.

i interviewed 1-7 and loved the place. i've been on 8 interviews so far and only U-Cincinnati comes close to iowa in the "nice facilities" category. i have also heard nothing post-interview.
