So, let's rate the practice tests.

Word Bank: AAMC, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Berkeley Review, Gold Standard, (am I missing any? should I add EK1001 to the list?)

Fill in from best to worst:
(1) AAMC
(2) _____________
(3) _____________
(4) _____________
(5) _____________

Is there any specific test you'd recommend over the other? (i.e. AAMC > Kaplan, but say AAMC #6 is horrible, so, AAMC (except #6) > Kaplan). But that is kind of too much info. But, fill in the chart above.

This was done MANY times, i even made a poll of ALL of them individually. Someones made a poll asking what you are, which is more vague. Do a search. If you don't, J DUB has the order down correctly anyway... I personally did the Kaplan's first (just the ones he said) then AAMC so i would be used to it for the test. That was MORE then enough practice tests for me. The kaplan helps you do really good on the sciences cause they're a bit more math intensive. then the AAMC along with EK 101 will fine tune your verbal

This has been done a few times.

For CBTs, I found:

  • AAMC
Berkeley Review (except for #7 and especially #9--really close)
    Kaplan
    Gold Standard
    Princeton Review

There's a recent poll that had the following ratings the last time I looked:

  • AAMC 46 points
    Berkeley Review 16 points
    MCAT Achiever 13 points
    Princeton Review 12 points
    Kaplan 10 points
    Gold Standard 6 points

I think this list is probably the most accurate you'll find. AAMC are the best by miles and the others are all fighting to be second best. I personally liked BR better than the rest, because they felt the most like my real MCAT in terms of difficulty and types of questions. Kaplan was unrealistic and crazy hard. PR wasn't like my exam and the questions seemed disconnected from the passage most of the time.

Simple list:

Tier 1

AAMC

Tier 2 (in no particular order)

Kaplan (worst verbal)
TBR
TPR

Tier 3

Gold Standard
Others
