Having Macbook + Ipad Pro + Ipad Mini?

How much of a waste would it be to have a Macbook, iPad Pro with Pencil, AND an iPad mini for starting 1st year? We are required to buy an iPad mini for school, but I really like the Pencil and I don't see much use for the Mini...

What would you want to use the iPad Pro for that the Mini would not suffice? The one upside is the Pro lets you use the Pencil, but you can find good stylus alternatives for the Mini.

That's overkill. Get the laptop and mini. Look for other stylus options.

don't waste your money on the iPad pro. Even a mini is a waste of money until third year. All you need is a laptop for 1st and 2nd year.
