Hey there,
I was just wondering if anyone can give me some general information on being a healthcare administrator and how to get there. To get the discussion started....
1. What is/was your major for your undergrad?
2. Which major would you recommend for aspiring admins, or do you see in other admins?
3. Do you enjoy being a hospital admin? What is a 'typical' day like?
4. There all a lot of areas you can be an admin in, what's your favorite or preferred?
5. Any other advice?
6. Anything else you would like to say!

Are you referring to a physician healthcare administrator? Or a non-physician administrator?

Let me refer you to two organizations that will answer both questions:

For physicians: American College of Physician Executives (ACPE)
For non-physicians: American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)
