Hey guys! I am really confused about this question on the TMDSAS application and could really use some feedback.

Has your education or vocation ever been interrupted for any reason? *

Here's the honest answer, but I don't know whether to put it, or if there's another way to put it, etc.

During my second degree, in November of 2009, my mother became seriously ill with ovarian cancer. Through surgery, recovery and subsequent partial loss of diaphragm function, I served as her primary caregiver, worked part time and attended school full time. Because of this, I was unable to continue with some classes, used incompletes to finish others and the quality of my academic work was not where I would want it. We were able to find an affordable nursing service for her in June of 2011 and my focus returned to education.

@gonnif , your feedback would be particularly helpful here, as would anyone else who might have advice!

What are you confused about? You answered the question pretty thoroughly.

Thanks. Is that the time and place in the application to do that? I was just concerned whether this was okay or sounded like I was making excuses for myself.

You are...but the application specifically asked you to do so.
There are a few wording things I would tweak if this were the actual text going into your app, but this seems like a completely legitimate answer to that question.
