Conversion is not too bad (I'd give it 3-6 months). You can in most, if not all cases start studying on H4 and do a change of status while you are in school.

As far as scholarships go, don't hold your breath. There aren't many in this economic crisis. Most available ones are for citizens and PRs.
Google search and see. BEWARE- scholarship scams are dime a dozen.😱🙄

Pros- can maintain status quo
-if you are on the green card track, depending on your nationality and the stage of the process you are in, you'll probably need to stay on H4.
- I am going to go way out on a limb and say the registration process maybe different(easier?) for H4 students.

Cons
- Will not get OPT at the end of the course
- can't work on campus or off campus for money

Hi La fea...I have another doubt about h4.....
read somewhere that students on h4 don't get I 20....
Will that make any difference on my course in dental school?
I mean, is I 20 required for a student in school?
thanx

This I am not 100% sure of.
H4 or F1 either way...shouldn't make a difference in the quality of your education.

There are several advantages of F1 visa such as you can work on campus. Also you can get 1 year EAD after study.

However, on F1, you have to follow strict rules such as you must be full time student all the time except summer semester.
