Select only heterocyclic aromatic compounds where the unshared electron pair of nitrogen occupies an sp2 orbital in the plane of the ring.
I. Pyridine

II. Naphthalene

III. Pyrrole

A. III only B. II & III C. I & II D. I & III E. I, II & III

Answer is C. Why not A? Thanks

The answer isn't there at all. Pyridine is the only molecule satisfying those requirements. Napthalene doesn't have a nitrogen, and the lone pair of nitrogen in pyrrole is in a p-orbital to give aromaticity.
