I have already submitted my AACOMAS application and I'm freaking out about if I'm going to get in anywhere. My stats are: 3.35 cumulative, 3.39 science, and a 24 MCAT. I'm retaking my MCAT in a few weeks, but I'm not so sure how much better I can do.
I've worked as a scribe and have done some shadowing, but nothing more than the average applicant...
Does anyone have an REALISTIC advice as to my chances and/or where I should be setting my sights on going?
THANKS!!

My realistic advice is for you to study hard for your MCAT in a few weeks. 24 gets you an auto-reject at some schools, so that needs to be your main focus at this point in the game. Leave the worrying for the month post-MCAT.

Its possible you can get into a school but you are on the very low end of the spectrum. Try newer schools. Mucom lucom PCOM ga touro nv for example. Adding 3 points could really help.

Making that MCAT a 28+, you would be decently competitive everywhere assuming you apply around June/July this upcoming year.

Agree. Without a retake you've got a chance, but it will be largely up to luck of the draw and the odds aren't good. I agree with everyone that you should really focus on your MCAT. If you don't pull it up at least 2 points it could actually be worse. Schools may think that a 24/25 really reflects your skills, which is not what you want them to think of you. If you hit a 26/27 it shows you are capable of improvement and gives you a real shot at least at some schools.

24 will be an auto-reject at my school.

Aim for the newest schools.
