Hi,
Iam planing to give my NDBE part II, could anybody plz tell me what materials i should study. Will dental decks and ASDA reprints be enough?how much time does it take to prepare for the exam.
I will be really happy if somebody helps me.Any suggestions from the people who have already appeared for the test would be of great help.
Thanks.

Hi Shilpi & Sandbug,

I'm planning to take part-2 in June. Have just begun to study.
How about you both? When are U planning to take the exam?
Where are you guys located?

Let's keep track of each other's progress so that we can remain

The next Part 2 is held March 31 and April 1... if you miss that, then the next session is in December!

Good luck

hi mighty molar
i thought that computer based part can be given at any time of the year?is that not true,pl reply

I should have clarified it in my earlier post! Sorry, yes, you are correct. The computer based NBDE Part 2 can be sat upto twice a year (not sure, didn't check), any month of the year (but 6-8 weeks apart at least). I decided to take the paper version because it would be at least half the price! Besides, I don't want to stare at the computer screen for two whole days! I'd prefer the paper!!

Cheers,

if you ever take the computer exam, you will know that the computer exam is way way way nicer than the paper exam. you have total control of timing and the design of the program doesn't make your eye uncomfortable.

When I took part 1 paper exam, my eye hurt so much that I barely could open them in the afternoon, I had to stop for 10 mins to let my eyes rest. But for my part II exam, I took it straight through without any break. Prometric offers a lot of exams to different fields, their computer screens are very comfortable for reading the whole day
