Been reading and getting confused about some supposedly simple concepts. I'm hoping someone here can help me out by explaining these things to me.
One is biphasic vs monophasic defibrillators. I'm getting confused about how they work, the mono vs bi part, and why bi requires lower joules..
Another is in regards to electrocautery, with monopolar cautery, the current goes from the cautery thru the patient, to the pad.. how does this not damage the patient. Bit confused about how the current works. Does the path not get damaged at all?
