"Molality does not increase linearly with the percent of solute in solution"

why is that so? it's hard to picture because solvent kg stays the same and the amount of solute should be increasing linearly..? no? 🙁

At the extreme of all solute and no solvent, the % solute would be only 100 whereas the molality would be infinite.

Conceptually it comes down to molality being measured as one component vs another component "A/B", while percent in solution is measured as one component vs the total "A/(A+B)"
