Are there any good pharmacology books that use acronyms or silly pictures to help learn all the different drugs? I looked on Amazon and found Clinical Pharm Made Incredibly Easy...Is that a good one?

What method proved useful to others in studying for pharm besides straight memorization?

I'm looking for one myself. I think that can be a big help in learning Pharm.
I have BRS pharm, which is o.k. But, I also have Lippincott's Illustrated Reviews of Pharmacology. I like it a LOT better, and am currently in the market to buy the latest edition since mine is a bit too old and doesn't have some of the newer drugs we do need to know.

It still has a consolidated quality to it, but not quite as much as BRS, and it does have graphics that are pretty useful. It's kind of in between a reference text book, and a review-type book. It's the perfect mix, cause I'm not finding that it really lacks TOO much more specificity than what we're getting in our pharm notes from school. For me, it just seems easier to read and better organized.

I just bought a box of pharm flash cards. Not the best source for learning the drugs the first time, but very helpful review for remembering the drugs later on.

The best pharm book hands down for me was Pharmacology Recall. The Power Review alone is worth the price of this book. It contains everything you need and nothing that you don't need. It makes every other review book look lame in comparison.

Now you can't review what you have not learned in the first place and thus the most helpful book for learning for me was not a book at all but the syllabus for my pharm course in medical school. When USMLE Step I time came around, Pharm Recall Power Review was all I needed.
