Did Anyone get iv from Washington University or Northwestern ?

how many interviews do you think one needs to give them a good shot at a match?
2, 3, 4, 5?

i'm just thinking 5 interviews should give me a pretty good shot at matching. obviously the higher the number the more likely.

Four IVs so far.... Baylor, Tufts, U Florida and U Utah.
Rej: BIDMC, UCSD, Mayo so far...

Just a question... during interviews when they ask about where else have you interviewed.... how do you think we should answer?
Should we be honest and tell them all the other places... or not tell them? And if you want to keep it vague... is it good? I mean they are as smart as we are and would immediately know if we are not coming out with clear answers.....
How would you guys approach this question, because you will get asked almost on every interview.... believe me, I have been there.

I've been honest - they know its competitive and people are applying elsewhere. At my home interview they kept stressing to importance of seeing other places (umm, trying to tell me something??) but I think its just because they want to best possible fit with their fellows, and people who have looked around and know what they're choosing. Dunno. When in doubt I go with honesty and then stress your interest in their particular program. GL!

UPMC and UV today, William Beaumont yesterday.

Can anybody comment on how many slots each year at William Beaumont? and University of Michigan? Is University of Michigan a balanced program or more basic research powered?

Sorry for the confusion, U of Virginia. Just checked it up, relatively small program, 3 slots a year.

University of Colorado by phone👍
University of Virginia👍

Rejection:
UPenn👎

UCLA invite today.

Any thoughts on programs without Comprehensive Cancer Centers? Three that I've gotten invites from: OHSU, Stanford, and Cornell aren't Comprehensive Cancer Centers. Could this affect research opportunities, funding in someway compared to programs with a CCC? Thanks in advance for any input.

CCCs will definitely have more areas of research, opportunities and funding. Bench and clinical research are a must for their designation.

Congrats on the interviews- mind sharing your credentials with us?

UIC hasn't even downloaded my files yet...

What do we do about programs that haven't downloaded the apps yet? Send them a friendly reminder? Anybody have the same problem? Will appreciate help. Thanks.

Yes. An email telling them they're being lazy and not conforming to your schedule will definitely get you far.
