Henry Stickmin - Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
There’s no majority day 1 and over 24 hours left. So no need to panic.

and considering my perspective, knowing I’m village, it seems weird that you are obsessing over me, an uninformed villager, getting pinged by your weird comment.
You say this as if everyone should automatically assume this and it feels weird

I just thought Mayo's vote was for Dubz calling out Bread's height out of game but I should go back and re-read
First 3 posts of the game. Then his explanation for his vote. Nothing to do with bread, or anything really.

Yeet April

I'm going to vote her out if she's a wolf. Training is useless if she has plot armor.

I dunno, 3 pages in and your tone already sounds wicked different to me than last game 🤷🏼‍♀️

You're welcome to dispute my assessment but I'm not sure why you'd want to lol

And I know no one asked, but I don't think Vis is a wolf either
I'm not going to argue, I'm just using it to think about how I feel about you

Why not Vis?

I am not panicking, I'm addressing a suspicious vote. Remember how I don't know you're village? How was my comment even weird?
Because it seemed like oh look guys I’m def not a wolf because I’m asking the wolves on thread not to kill me, and I’m then still not a wolf when I’m not killed because I asked.
You say this as if everyone should automatically assume this and it feels weird
I was directly responding to WZ saying her sus of me is justified because she knows she is a villager, and I’m saying I know I am a villager. Not sure how that’s weird or out of context.

Oh I forgot about his explanation. Huh

I'll keep that in mind but I'm not set on yeeting him over that, I understand the point he made and I'll wait to see what else he says

"try it for the 5th time and see" comment sounded like town flippancy

Takes mega guts to issue a dare like that as a wolf if you know you have a history of getting yeeted early

But how do you know she's a villager and how does she know you're a villager?

w/v sus sounds very much like v/v sus, not always easy to tell the difference unless the reasoning is off, and even then villagers can have off reasoning and wolves can have solid reasoning

Lol ok. That was in no way a strategic post and was just a natural progression of me talking about not pulling punches.

I'd wager you see comments like that come from villagers close to 100% of the time. In theory it's a decent-ish post for a wolf to make, in practice it just doesn't occur to them to do it. Wish AM was playing so I could confirm the stats.

He did mention bread though
Later on sure. Started with a naked vote on the 3rd post of the thread with no prior salt or joke. Mentioned bread later I guess but the explanation to me later wasn’t “it was a joke vote because of bread’s height”.

I'm going to vote her out if she's a wolf. Training is useless if she has plot armor.
His explanation to you felt like a joke, to justify the vote. His explanation to me felt less like he was making a joke vote but it also didn’t really make sense to me.

Do you understand the point he made? What did you understand about it?

I don’t really get it. Why would a wolf who was genuinely confused about somethong they want to know for choosing a NK ask it in thread instead of in wolfchat?
@Aprilthearab and reinforced by posts like this.

I agree Vis, and had the same thought. No reason for Bob's question to even hit the thread if he were a wolf, because in that scenario it would be a factor in kill selection & that's what wolf chat is for.

That's fair, I've definitely done that as a wolf where I put down an early D1 vote, get sussed over the reasoning, so I try out a different reasoning (I don't recommend this, doesn't work well)

And I also saw Mayo put down a semi-joke semi-serious vote in the speed game as a wolf so that does worry me

Do you understand the point he made? What did you understand about it?
About putting pressure on Dubz for practice. That part makes sense given the context of the game and also how early it is D1

And the joke vote for Bread's height also doesn't phase me on its own

But the fact that he used both wigs me out as I explained above

I think a wolf could make that type of post... but I find it a bit harder to believe they'd say "I don't expect any pulled punches" & then ruin it immediately by saying "but please pull punches a teeny bit" in the same post lol.

That combo comes off as a villager who made a "come at me bro" comment and then 30 seconds realized Mel was in the game and he might do exactly what you asked for 😂

I disagree a bit; I don’t think it’s a good post for a wolf to make. To me, looks like either a very bad wolf post or a careless village joke, so I’d be sus of a new player making it but I assume that an experienced wolf wouldn’t make it. It looks calls suspicion to the poster (addressing posts to wolves almost always gets people side-eyed) for very little strategic payoff (I don’t think anyone would buy “hey guys the reason I’m still alive is because I asked the wolves to spare me!”)

Well I said decent-ish 😛

Noob wolves do this all the time though. They forget to ask the pack or the pack isn't as responsive as open thread.

Also noob wolves will still ask seemingly NAI questions on thread so they have something to say, it can be difficult for them to generate content and they can hope they look uninformed.

Maybe he isn't in wolf chat but is still planning a NK.

I'm pretty sure in Bioshock or a speed game I made some comment about not wanting wolves to kill me. I see what you're saying, but at best it's NAI at worst it smells kinda wolfy to me.

Lol what's funny is wolves will def leave ppl alive if this kinda sus can fall on them

More specifically, I don't see why we're assuming Bob -- who has not been a wolf before as far as I know -- has already received the Master Manipulator pup scout badge... but on the same page, those same people are moving me village/refusing to yeet me "vs a wolf" merely because I asked for it.

No offense Bob.

Well as far as I can see, different people are saying that it would be a dumb noob wolf thing to do (not me) and others are saying it would be a regular wolf strategy (me) but now you’re saying it’s too big brain for him.
