With a 26AA 25TS 24PAT no section lower than 22 and a 3.3 GPA 3.5 SGPA what are the type of schools worth applying to? Also, post-bacc non-science major with only basic pre-reqs done, but 3.85+ in all post-bacc work.

Is there a chance with numbers like these to get into the highly competitive schools? Is it worth adding Columbia or UCSF to an application list or would it be better to stick with the typical OOS friendly/private universities?

i may be wrong, but i'm fairly certain that columbia is all about high DAT applicants, so they'll probably like you. you should also probably wait for someone who knows better than me to confirm that lol

congrats on your awesome scores! i also don't think your gpa is bad

in what world is a 3.5sci a low gpa?

I guess low compared to his/her post-bacc work and DAT score.

OP -

I think that you should throw some reach schools in because your DAT will garner attention...I guess there are probably some that GPA will exclude you from (UCLA comes to mind) so don't blindly apply to all the top schools.

Good luck.

nope, but you have a good shot at the non-competitive schools (ya know, the ones that accept everyone)

You can add Columbia or UCSF, but don't you dare add Stanford, Yale, and Princeton.

With your stats, you can apply anywhere. your GPA is competitive. Your DAT is 😍

I was interviewed at Columbia with worse stats than you all around. If you really want to go there just apply. 🙂

You're going to need to retake the DAT and get a 28+ on each section, as well as improve your GPA to a 3.9. Until you do that, not one school will look at you. Your best chance at this point is the University of Puerto Rico.

Actually I don't even think Peurto Rico will accept him. He should probably give up his dream of dentistry and try nursing school unless he can pull a 30+ DAT score in every section and a 4.0+ GPA, but even then the odds are stacked against him, sorry man dentistry is just not your thing.

Haha, sorry for some reason I just think these type of posts are hilarious no matter how many different ways people write posts like these.

Why all the posts about it basically being a forgone conclusion the OP will get in and its a stupid question?

Read the last paragraph, I don't think he wonders if he can get in somewhere, I think he is wondering about being competitive at the top tier of schools.

Sheesh I think some of you sit around and wait for a post you can jump on.

I think you've been around for less than half a year and haven't seen enough posts, which is why you even bother asking, even if it is rhetorical. 😎

OP: You come off as a troll even asking with a DAT like that (lets not forgot the 22+ on every section, not just the AA), and with "numbers like these"... what does that even mean, your GPAs are good, great even esp. considering the post-bacc. Apply to all the schools you want, you're competitive enough -_-

Yes you have a chance at top tier schools, does that mean you will deff get in? ...no. But you do have a legit chance, so apply to some of the top tier schools.

Lmao

Your sGPA and DAT scores are high - apply wherever you want. You would even have a shot at the Ivies and the Calif. schools.
