Holiday purchases for incoming med student

Hey everyone! Gonna be living with a roommate next year in an apartment for med school and I know it’s the holiday season so most definitely want to shop around, I already have purchased an air fryer but was looking at an instant pot, would y’all recommend the 3 or 6qt variant?
