Im currently a first year (NYCOM) and lately all ive been doing is studying by either going over the materials in class or looking at books. Hopefully, with all this effort, I will attempt (attempt being the key word) to get honors in some of my classes. Ive been reading the lectures but mostly Ive been reading the books (cuz all the teachers are telling us to use more books than notes). How do I know whether the track that I am on will help me to achieve this? Should I just focus more of my time memorizing the notes and occassionally reading the book or should I hit the book and try to get a general understanding then when the time comes hits the notes and start memorizing? (Oh yeah, although I wouldn't mind the "it all depends on how you study" reply, some personal insight wouldn't hurt. Thx
