Hospice salary ?

I was talking to a friend of mine and he said his mom owns a hospice company and that she paid her physical therapists $65 per hr. This seemed very high to me and I was just wondering if anyone here has ever worked in the hospice setting and if they could validate or negate this claim.

Usually settings like hospice and nursing home pay higher b.c not a lot of people want to work in that type of setting.

Sum it up
- Lots of Death
- Very very slow to recover
-Sometimes sad
-Takes a very patient special person to deal with this type.
-Explaining the same simple step to the patient daily and still the patient has a difficult time.

Most want to work in outpatient, ortho, sports. You learn more in those settings unlike doing the same thing over and over again in hospice and nursing home.

However, the pay is higher in home health, nursing home, and hospice.
