Where should I stay? I heard that they have a great subway system there, so I wouldn't mind riding it....is there a hotel near the subway, or is there ample parking at the school? I am from NY so I have no idea about the place. It seems to be in a residential area. Also, any advice on the interview?
Thanks!

There is a list of places to stay in the pamphlet they send you with your invitation. The two listings under "bed and breakfast" are just homes in that residential area, and the families rent out the extra bedrooms on the third floor. It's really, really convenient, they're really nice (at least, they were at the Falls Inn), they feed you breakfast, and it's within walking distance. Oh, and it's really cheap. I would recommend that.

The comfort inn in near the historic part of philly is pretty nice and they have a shuttle that takes you to meet the drexel shuttle at the hospital area. That's what I did and I found it worked well. the good thing about staying at a place like this is it that it's in the middle of the city so you have other things to do if you're up for that.

I stayed at La Reserve, which is one of the B & Bs in the pamphlet. It's a little farther away from the school - it's in Center City - but as someone else mentioned, its location gives you lots to do and see when you're not at the school. The subway that goes up Broad St. to Hahnemann Hosp. is a few blocks away, and there's a shuttle there that goes to the school.

Be warned though...although I took the shuttle a couple of times without any problems, I did kind of have to "talk my way onto" the shuttle, and a couple of current Drexel students have said that you're really supposed to have a pass to ride the shuttle. The pamphlets, although they say they're usable as your pass, are old and the policy has changed, again according to those students' posts.

The upside to riding the shuttle is that it gave me a chance to talk to other students who were riding it, which I found really helpful.

I took the shuttle in November and really had no problems. Just show your pamphlet and say you're interviewing and they let you on.

I think Drexel has a student hosting program. Has anyone tried that?
