Hello lovely people,

I'm looking into housing for a 2-week externship at Terry. Right now my best lead is Avent Ferry guest housing. Is this a decent place to stay, do you reckon? Can't beat the rate at $30 a night. Any suggestions appreciated! (Not looking for someone to take me in, don't worry). 🙂

Raleigh is overall a pretty safe place 🙂

I'll be home in October and would be happy to cruise by and check it out if you want...or maybe one of our NCSU friends could go before then?

The Ramada next to the vet school is really quite decent (and I think they have a special vet school rate of something like $60/night?) and very, very convenient.

Also, we constantly get e-mails from Student Services asking if anyone has room to house guest externs and such. Let them know your visit dates and they can at least ask around to see if anyone has space or a place for you. If you find somewhere to crash it will likely be cheaper than living out of a hotel.
