So I was accepted to Wayne State University Medical School last week. I was wondering how everyone else is planning to live? I'm currently living in New Jersey. Does anyine know if the school provides any contacts to land lords taht rent specifically to medical and graduate students? Can anyone suggest where I can start looking?
Thanks
Mike

I think most students live in the suburbs north of Detroit. A great place to look for an apartment would be in Royal Oak. It is a lot safer than Detroit and a pretty short drive to the school.

I commute from Farmington Hills, which is about a 20-25 minute drive. A lot of people live in the suburbs, but many do prefer to live downtown. I don't know if there is a formal housing help department, but I suggest you contact the School of Medicine Student Affairs Office, which is run by Dr. Kertia Black. The phone number is 313-577-1463, or email [email protected]
Good luck, and feel free to contact me if you have any other questions about Year One.
