Narrowing down the acceptances today is not required; the only required action is on the 30th, narrowing down to one acceptance. Based on the previous year, there was no movement until the first week of May.

+1 IS post-WL R, one LOI submitted. Was my only MD II this cycle, but I have been accepted DO! Grew up in metro Detroit so this hurts.

Do you guys think the WL movement will happen on Friday May 1st or will they wait till Monday May 4th? I know last year they sent out many As on the 2nd, which was a friday, but I'm not sure how they will move this year. This sounds very OD as I type it, but alas, judgement day is coming, so better to be prepared.

Agreed, would be a quick turnaround to hear Friday. Especially since it seems decisions come out Thursdays and April 30th falls on a Thursday.

I saw somewhere (idk if on here Or Reddit) that 2 years ago they over admitted by a lot and had to have people defer which was why they sent out less As last year

Yes exactly, there class from 2 years ago had like 15-20 students extra and they deferred some too

They usually send 90 offers around this time, this is what has been happening over the years with the exception of last year

Of note, the official Wayne State admitted students Facebook group currently has 231 members. Who knows how many of those people are non-admitted student admin.

I mean, I’ve been told almost 50% of the class is off waitlist. And they do send around 700 so I’m assuming that includes a lot of WL at the end. But I’m speaking into the dark and I’m a little terrified
