How difficult is this test compared to the PCAT?

I wrote the PCAT back last April and scored an 87% composite but I've heard the MCAT is harder. Then again, I'm weak in math (42% on the math section of the PCAT) and was happy to hear there is no quantitative section. My strongest area is definitely bio.

I'm not sure if you'll get a good answer since I don't remember reading anywhere on here of people who took both. The PCAT isn't even necessary for Pharm school (so I've heard) which decreases the number of people who take it. I'll just go out on the limb and say that it's probably tougher. People usually state that the MCAT and the LSAT are the hardest graduate school admissions tests.

Ive taken the PCAT and scored an 80 and retook and got a 95.

Im taking the MCAT in april but I've taken many practice exams from e-mcat.com and have scored consistantly at 11 v, 13 bs, and 9ps. Im weak on ps due to my lack of physics as I am taking Physics 1 w/ lab this spring and what I know is from my freshmen year of general physics w/o lab and highschool.

My opinion in the difficulty is the MCAT is much more difficult. The passage quesitons require much more analyzing with less time on hand. It also helps to know how to approach the MCAT as its approach is very different to the pcat.

Well I'm just happy there's no math section. But the chem, physics and bio sections must all be the same basic types of questions right? Or are they at a higher level? I'm not too concerned about verbal and writing.

My experience is the same with Phlame217. I wrote the PCAT in 2005. From what I remember, it was not as hard either. The chemistry, physics, and verbal seemed more straight forward and not passage based compared to the MCAT's, and a little shorter....I don't know if the test changed since then.....I agree I am glad there is not as much mathematics in MCAT as PCAT.
