When they ask "why pharmacy" or "tell me about yourself," what do they really want to hear? It's so difficult to tell them about myself. What do they want to know? I know why I chose pharmacy, but I don't know how to explain it well enough. Also, does anyone have advice for someone who is very soft-spoken? Any suggestions will be very appreciated.

Thanks!

I would suggest writing out your answers to commonly asked questions like "why pharmacy?". Once it's written down you can tweak it by finding the appropriate vocabulary, and ask friends for suggestions on wording. Then use these answers, trying to remember the main points. Don't recite a memorized answer, just be prepared with an approximation of what needs to be said You also need to be honest while doing this, don't tell tell interviewers what you think they want to hear. They will catch on. As far as being soft spoken, just try to keep reminding yourself to speak up. Practice in everday conversations. Other than that, RELAX!

Thank you very much for your advice! You sound like you have had a few interviews yourself.

Yea, I need some help with interviews too. I am so bad at interviews!

But the one I hear about a lot is to record yourself to practice and see what you look like during an interview. Like make sure you sit up straight, you look alert but not terribly uncomfortable, and check gestures.

Also, if you can't record yourself by video, you can always use a mirror and practice to see how you speak and present yourself.

I've only had one interview, but it paid off. 🙂
