after my interviews, i narrowed my choices down to two schools. i was accepted into one on dec 1, but havent heard anything from the other (which is the one that i really want to go to). ive called and called and called, but they really didnt tell me much (other than after interview in early october my app wasnt reviewed again). in order to be safe, i must place a deposit at one of the schools (luckily $500 and nothing rediculous). but i really feel like that will be a waste of money! i guess im trying to say that im sorry for placing a deposit at a school i dont want to go to, but can you blame me?!

p.s. if know that you dont want to go to temple, kindly withdrawal!!!!!

This has been discussed many times... just do what you have to do. If you get accepted from your top choice later, then go there. No one would blame you for that. If you would rather not go to dental school than go to the second school, then don't put a deposit down.

FWIW I'm giving up my dec. 1 acceptance temple spot for UB. Temple's great and I enjoyed my interview there. Wish I could somehow give it to you though!

$500 is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. I'm also about to deposit at Penn.

this doesn't represent "multiple deposits".....all the discussions about this are in regard to people getting accepted to more than one school and putting deposits on TWO OR MORE.....

in your case you will make one deposit and hold out for the other, dropping this school if you get into the better one......a totally different situation and not anything that spurs controversy

Is anyone kind of scared that you won't be FULLY admitted and registered into the dental school even with deposit sent in + letter of commitment to the school until like summer time. Even on these acceptance letters they say "conditional acceptance." I'm worried something might go wrong with some document or some pre-req confusion and if i withdraw all the other acceptances by not sending in a Jan 1 deposit, I might have to repeat this entire cycle again. Sorry for the paranoia. I can't even get a hold of the schools till about after Jan. 1st at this point as well. Just a thought.

Constantly! It has been quite a journey, not one that I would like to repeat.....I'm with you on the paranoia. :scared:

aha are you putting down an extra deposit to your number 2 just in case? BTW, jetblackm3 owner right here 😍
