well everyone's saying that applying early is the key
but how early is early? ( I know it should've been a week ago
or today or tomorrow) I am going on a vacation for a week
and I know I won't be able to do anything till then so
I will be done with my app around 1st week of June.
is that considered not early? what's the deal with applying early
and late?

anytime in may or june is early... july and early august isn't late... it's getting late if you haven't applied by labor day.

but really... don't freak out about not getting your stuff in may 15th. there's not really a difference between may 15th and june 15th.

Early August is LATE. Trust me on this, I'm speaking from experience.

*shrug* plenty of people esubmit aadsas in august and have acceptances december 1.

but fine... early august is getting late in the ballgame...

but i don't think you are really setting yourself back unless you wait until september or later to apply.

eh... i don't entirely agree with this.

the key is to get your interviews scheduled before dec. 1st. if you have mediocre stats, apply as soon as you can. if you've got solid stats, you can get away with applying later. applying sooner is better than later (duh) but applying super early is not the magic bullet most people on SDN will have you believe.

good luck 👍

My pre-health advisor suggested that we have everything done by July 15th.

She suggested that we take the DAT on June 30th or sooner.

Most of her advice applies to Texas schools because she says we have a better shot of getting accepted if we have August interviews.
