I'm using Kaplan's materials. I read the chapter then do the end of the chapter quizzes and review them (wrong and right answers). I watch Kaplan's mcat channel, follow along and when presented with a question, I pause and try to answer it on my own.
Other than that I'm using Kaplan's flashcards but they're really big sets so it's taking me a while to go through them. I've gotten a start on the AAMC's qbanks which seem good but I haven't devoted enough time to them- that's on my to-do list.
I've been taking the full lengths and not scoring well. Looking at my scores, it seems like I'm content weak (which may or may not be true) but I think the bigger problem is I'm not practicing enough. I've finished pretty much 95% of content review but I can not answer questions efficiently or accurately- obviously because MCAT is a thinking exam. When I go through the explanations I kick myself because the answers is kind of obvious. After the test review, I think I don't retain what I learned from reviewing practice tests either.

So my question is, HOW do you all practice? (esp 510+ scorers, I'm looking at you :poke:) How do you retain?
Please be as specific as possible- tools, strategies, methodologies, I want to know it all!

To be honest, I didn't read this whole post....but Kaplan was a waste. They're only useful for their full lengths and books.

Haven't taken it yet but KhanAcademy has TONS of practice. You can pick either discrete form by content area or passages. Highly recommend the biochemistry stuff from there.
