The schools that have the least amount of complaints are probably doing a better job. I hardly ever here a bad word about some schools while others have a rather poor reputation according to posters here.
The most disappointing aspect of dental schools are all the pompous a*** that are in charge, many of whom are completely void of people skills. It is amazing the amount of arrogance , favoritism, and shady business deals that goes on, much of which has nothing to do with excellence in dentistry.
There are many people working at dental schools who should be fired immediately, but the shortage of instructors has allowed many dental schools to become the civil service, providing jobs for life. Supply and demand has watered down quality assurance in many cases leaving a blurry line between a challenging curriculum and faculty ineptitude.
To anyone who would listen: Be very careful of where you attend dental school, be advised about all that is being said here. Just b/c things are hard to believe does not make them inaccurate.
