OK so I'm 7 days out from my test, and just realized I don't know jack about cell bio (e.g. Cyclins/CDK, apoptotic mechanisms, etc). There's a lot of minutiae involved so I'd probably have to dedicate a full day or so to memorizing this crap.

Is it worth my time to go over all this stuff? How likely is it to show up on the test? Thanks for your input.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say its about a 6/10 in yield.

See if your library has High Yield Cell and Molecular Biology. I think its by Dudek. Quick read (<100 pgs if I remember right). And it prepped me for probably 90% of the cell bio ?s I encoutnered.

I read through it once and it was helpful, although I was strong in cell bio beforehand.

Thanks for the responses guys. I actually have the book (coveted 1st edition too. Where's my cookie?) but it's been collecting dust on my bookshelf. I guess I'll look through it in the last day or two. Thanks again.

I have a follow up question to the original post. My question has to deal with the best way to go about studying Biochem. I have the HY-Cell (1st ed.) book and plan to read that and annotate the Cell & Molecular Bio. section of FA-Biochemistry using the HY book. As for the rest of the Biochem. chapter, would simply doing QBank and UW Biochem. questions and adding notes to FA be sufficient for Biochem? For some parameters, I'm hoping to score 240 or above. Any advice is appreciated.

Isnt the FA supplemented for cell bio and biochem with UW be sufficient?

I thought that was the case for like 90% of the step...(ofcourse knowing ur kaplan)

No, FA is lacking in those two departments.
