Hello, friends,
I went to some interviews, and I felt the interviews were almost same: same precedure, same questions, and for me, also same suit, same smile and same answer. I'd like to know how to make decision in the application committee. Did they really score you? and is the decision based on this score?

HI Bill

thankyou for re-posting this very important article for the perusal of others. it is interesting to note that this study concentrates on loma linda and states in the discussion/results section that they do not really concentrate on your toefl or NDB II scores - how very unfortunate... they now do exactly the opposite!

thankyou again..
regards..

If you read carefully (or probably I didn't😀 ), this article talks about the success in clinical competencies and not success as a dentist. When a student graduates from school and is a dentist or professor or reseasrcher the school wants to be proud of its product. Not every school just wants a successful clinical practitioner. Also, just being successful clinically need not necessarily make you a good dentist. There is more to that here.
Also I thought it said TOEFL is not useful in evaluation.😕
