Hi everyone!
Ok, so my file has been complete for about a week in all the schools I applied to. The last thing they needed were my committee letter of recommendation, and it was late because they needed my MCAT scores before they could write a letter....whatever, I'm finally complete!
I have already interviewed at LECOM-Bradenton (last week). But I was wondering, on average, how long does it take before you hear about a decision (interview, rejection, etc?). I am really anxious with this whole thing, I just want to know if I'm gonna get interviewes or not!!!!!! :scared:

I have applied to PCOM, WVSOM, NSUCOM, LECOM-Bradenton, NYCOM, UMDMJ-SOM. For those of you how have interviewed/been accepted, what was the time line after completion?

Thank you very much....
And I know this was probably another thread, but I'm too lazy to look🙂
Have a wonderful day!

I think it will be different now during the "busy season" but I applied early and received interviews rather quickly starting a few days after complete to now at NYCOM and PCOM. It depends on school policy, your application, quantity of interviews already given, etc etc so in short: have faith but no one can give you the answer.

My file was complete before MCAT scores came out. They were only waiting for MCAT scores so my files should be complete last week of october. So far I have only heard from DMU while still waiting from PCOM, NYCOM, CCOM, UNECOM and KCUMB. UNECOM doesn't offer secondary until they get MCAT scores so I turned in that secondary last week.

Since NYCOM doesn't give secondaries, it could be anytime frame, but they said they interview November to May. I got an interview about 3 weeks after they recieved my application.

PCOM and UMDNJ-SOM are pretty quick, you should get your secondary about 2 or so weeks after they receive your aacomas appl. Keep in mind that UMDNJ and PCOM received an unusually high volume of apps this year. I applied last year and they are definitely slower with the interviews this time around. The same for LECOM-Bradenton and NSU-COM give them about 3 weeks.

I don't know much about WV, but if you want, you can PM me with any questions. I applied to all those schools (except WV) last year and this year.

a lot of the timing rests more on when the school actually sits down to look over files than anything. When there is a complete file they put it in a pile. On a given day they take all of the completed files and look over them in a committee. This is how i have found most schools work, whether its to decide to give you an interview or not or to finally give you and acceptance/declination letter. I wouldn't worry too much, i didn't hear back from most place after more than a month. Its all hit or miss. Good luck

b. Recommendations from two faculty members (preferably in the sciences) familiar with the applicant's undergraduate or graduate work OR one letter from the applicant's premedical committee or advisor.
c. Recommendation from another professional person acquainted with the applicant's background.
d. Although optional, it is strongly suggested that the applicant provide one or more recommendations from an osteopathic physician.

Those are the LORs UNECOM asks, did anyone use a letter from a hospital they volunteered at for c. I ask b/c I got am email from UNECOM saying they are missing one of the required letters, but that would mean hopsital LOR does not constitute under "c."
