I wrote my MCAT today, and my chance of getting a 6-7 on the verbal is pretty high because I scored a 6 on both the AAMC FL 10 and 11. I will retake the test again (the thought is so painful) a 3rd time and this will also be my last time because I don't think i want to take the new MCAT. So you could say, this 3rd time will decide whether I can attend medical school or not. I haven't register for the test date yet, and I need some input from those who scored anything above a 10 in the verbal as ESLers. I want to know how long did it take you guys to improve the scores?
Also, on the side note, I am getting my application together and will apply for medical school (prefer MD) this year. I know I will most likely have to retake the exam, but what do i do in this situation? I don't want to wait until September (if I take the exam in August) after I get my grade back and apply, it would be too late by then. What should I do? Any feedback? I must say my cred is ok, except for the MCAT (3.7cGPA, 3.9sGPA, 3.7GPA for my master, have tons of working experience as well as volunteering exp, good amount of research with 1 co-auth, 1 first-autho that are in the process of applying for publication, LORs-no idea).

Get an idea of your LORs
How did you do on the previous takes of MCAT?

Well, I assume my LORs would be strong because they are from 3 persons whom I have worked with for more than 4-5 years, and they knew how hard working I am. The other 2 are from my advisor and director of the master program (so I have no idea how good these LORs because I honestly don't know them at personal level). Yesterday was my first official MCAT, my practice scores range from 10-13 (PS), 6-8 (VB), 10-12 (BS)

I would apply with what you've got and see if anyone bites. Take the MCAT again ASAP and just update your application. You might or might not get screened- some schools are pretty forgiving when it comes to the VR score. You should definitely submit as soon as possible though to get your app in and seen early.
