I was wondering, if you get rejected. Do you wait until the end of the application cycle to find out what went wrong or do you do it asap?

Do they go into specifics like your interview was bad, or your essay was bad, or you need more community service, etc.

I would contact them as soon as you get the rejection letter. What would be the point of waiting until next summer? You need the info ASAP so you can start rectifying whatever they say needs rectifying.

How much specifics the school goes into will vary. When I asked for app feedback, I got anything from a line by line critique of my app, to being blown off completely. I'd suggest asking every school that rejects you for feedback. Some will give it and some won't, and some will give more helpful feedback than others.

Just be aware that schools reject thousands of good applicants and may have little to tell you or lack sufficient staff to address your needs.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll just give it a shot asap instead of waiting since it would be nice to get feedback so I can try and do better on future interview.
