Before I get flamed for writing my previous post, i wanted to say that although hehas been accepted to alot of schools (congrats psycho, btw), he may not be holding places at all of them. Although, I find it fishy that someone would start a poll like this and wouldn't bother to vote....

now wait a minue y'all. I started this poll b/c the OP of the other similar poll told me to b/c i asked him why he didn't break it down into more categories since the overwhelming majority answered 'at least one'. I also haven't actually turned down any of my acceptances yet but i might soon so i was going to wait to respond, but we'll see....let me check the poll first.

and as far as the thread closing time, i didn't knowingly pick a time, only an approximate date...i have no clue how the time thing works...there's a lot about making polls i don't know. 🙁

I think Psycho Doc is a great contributor to the board so I don't mean to sound suspicious, but I do think that its unlikely for anybody to get in to every single place they interviewed. I think a lot of his acceptances are fake... not to lie, but to make people not ever know which school he is actually going to end up at.

Psycho, everyone knows which profile is yours, and you seem to know that and enjoy knowing that. So it doesn't matter if you made it public; it's out there! 😉

Why does everyone hate on Psycho so much? He's been around the entire time that I've been here and I haven't seen him post anything outside of the bounds of normalcy. Even when really heavily baited, such as here, he doesn't really flame people. I don't agree with his views socially or politically at all, but that doesn't make him a troll, a liar, or a bad person. His posts are consistant, informed, and reasonably level headed. I don't see how you can complain that, because he doesn't make his MDapp profile public, he must be lying. All I can see that it means is that he's humble and doesn't want to be the typical pre-allo competitive nutcase! If the poor guy has been doing awesome and he voted on here, you'd hang him for bragging.

thanks for confirming my rejection letter from U Chicago. I'm surprised they even bothered to interview me and they never even questioned my lack of research. Meanwhile i have lots of clinical experience and didn't get an interview at Northwestern. I'm sort of over Chicago schools but i can't tell my gf that (who goes to school nearby) or she'd kill me. very very frustrating...

PD, you know I love you, but it's not competitive to give you information that you're asking others for. You're asking them for this information because it would help you. So why wouldn't increasing the sample size by one help a little more? That's all I'm saying.

I think making the poll public was the major difficulty. I don't think you would have hesitated to drop your answer in after a couple others had answered if it wasn't public.
