How many B's have or below have you guys gotten up until now, and out of how many classes? And what is your current GPA, and what year of college are you currently in?

Please be serious .

Senior. 3.89. No solid B's, but a B+ in 2 three credit classes, a 4 credit class, and a one credit class. Nothing below those B+

Three Fs, a D, and more Cs than I can remember. Bs were the good grades. I even managed to fail astronomy lab. Seriously, how hard is it to go stargazing? I graduated with a 2.89 that I brought up to a 3.14 in postbac. I ended up getting into a pretty good MD school, but I don't recommend anyone follow my bad example.

Before I got into med school: 0 Bs
After I got into med school: 5 Bs

Finishing my junior year. Tons of B's so I'm probably going to go take a posbac after I graduate. Grades haven't come out yet, but gpa is around 3.2-ish. That being said, I was an undecided major for my first two years, so I'm playing a lot of catch-up.

I'm no expert, but I would assume that a B in speech wouldn't be looked as closely as a B in one of the sciences, especially if you're not a humanities major.

In science classes? 1 B+. 5 solid B's. 3 B-'s...and unfortunately 1 solid C in OChem II. I have an upward trend, ending with a 3.6 overall. Not sure how my science gpa is going to look, I've never calculated it before. Otherwise I have solid A's and a couple A-'s in the rest of my science courses.

first semester of college: three C's, one F, one W, and one B+.

GPA after first semester: 1.59

Ever since I havent made anything below a B and I've had two 4.0 semesters.

Don't fret.

Three Fs my first semester after I stopped attending class because of a job offer; unfortunately with a big middle finger to the official drop process. Since then, two Bs and the rest As or A-s.

One B and 3 B+, probably to be followed with a B in OChem II unfortunately.

I was on the B/C line in Organic II and my prof told me all I had to do was get a B or better on the ACS standardized final....needless to say I got my first ever C

Other than that I had like 4 B's...

More than I care to count. 3.4 Undergrad GPA with significant upward trend. 3.62 over the last ~2.5 years.

1 C+, 2 Cs, 4 Bs, 3 B-s (all in sciences/maths)
current sGPA: ~3.2

Too many Bs and Cs to count. Graduated college more than 5 years ago... Gpa is at a nice whopping ~3.1

I had a handful of B, B+s, and like 2 Cs ?

but dont be counting your bad marks, thats depressing. 👎

Stupidly took intro to chem last semester (thought I needed review - ended up not studying whatsoever). Got a B
Taking general this semester. Again, hadn't been doing any work previously (50% on quizzes, HW I will have to bring up to a possible maximum of 51%) except in lab (96% lol).
Expecting a C in that unless my professor bumps it up if I ace the ACS.

Failing calculus (again, didn't do the work). Retaking it to remove it from my transcript (gotta love these programs they offer...)

Otherwise, GPA is technically a 3.333. Expecting it to drop below 3.0 after this semester...I may be switching institutions and attending a CC however, so I may start over and get that 4.0 I've just started striving for.

I am still trying to figure out what the point is in knowing how many Bs or less we have? I think you would gain more from knowing our GPA each year of our academic career.

There is definitely an ongoing thread about this already.

I have 3 B's currently, probably going to have to add another after this semester (Physics 1, I have ace the final to stand a chance at A).

I may have a D in Calc I this semester, but 2 Bs all others are As. No one cares about how you do in calculus though! 🙂

Something practicing physicians never use? Something that isn't even on the MCAT? No, I think one bad grade in calculus can be overlooked.

Way to stay positive!

Allow me to clarify myself: All of your grades factor into your GPA, so a D is likely to lower it. That said, if that is the only major blemish on your application, I agree, it will likely be overlooked, but do be prepared to be asked about it in an interview.

About a half dozen B+, one B-, and one B. >3.8 GPA, 37 classes total.

No F's or D's but loads of B's, a few C's and several W's. I ended up with around a 3.3 when I graduated, and I still got 6 med school interviews.

There's a lot more to being a competitive applicant than grades, despite how it might feel on SDN 🙂

4 B's, 1 B-, 1 B+, everything else A's or A-

3.74 cGPA 3.7 sGPA

Sophomore. B in orgo I and lab, B- in biochem, B- in physics lab, D in calc 2 (which i shouldn't have had to take in the first place). Sitting on a 3.36 cGPA and a 2.88 sGPA, not including the college classes I took during high school which bump my GPA up to a 3.7+.

The point of this thread, I do not see it.

A boost for my moral. I'm feeling down in the dumps right now, and feel like my grades aren't on par. Just wanted to see how everybody else has been doing.

You can contribute as well. 🙂

Are you a Mozart or a Hawking? :eyebrow:

Don't worry about a B or two, HMS still admits people with crappy 3.998 GPAs.

Junior right now, lowest grade is a C in gen chem II. Class was brutal!

Well, it's official - talked to my prof tonight. Even acing my final, best I can hope for in physics 1 is an 88. I have to get around a 50 to drop to a C...so that makes 4 B's for me: Precalculus 1, Gen Chem 1 and 2, Physics 1.

Many, many B's. Almost as many C's. My highest grades were 3 A-'s. That's all!
Graduated a few years ago with a 2.67.

Masters program and four years later, white coat ceremony is in two months!!

Cheer up OP one B is not going to ruin you.

B+ in Organic Chemistry II and III, B in Physiology II, B- in Embryos and Development, B in Calc I and II. That's it for Sciences and I have a sGPA of 3.75.

For nonscience: B+ in Econometrics II, C+ in LD MacroEcon, C- in a class on law, B- in Sociology. cGPA is a 3.6.

I did a quarter system school.

So far 2 C-'s, 1 C, 1 D, 2-3 B-'s, and W. Gonna take a gap year, so I'll hopefully have 2 solid years of 4.0 for the ADCOMS to see
