How many test takers per year?

well around 15K US med students take it, plus some DOs and FMGs. Since there are around 20,000 residency slots each year I would guess that 20K is the magic number. Just a guess though.

My dear FMGs are now called IMGs"International Medical Graduates"
 
I've always used the 2 interchangably. I always thought foreign meant the school was not in the US not that the student was not from the US.

I think there was a big push in the 90's to change "Foreign" to "International" for PC reasons. I remember because I think CNN had some big edict not to say "foreign" anymore. I believe the reason is foreign has the additional connotation of "unfamiliar, unpleasent"
