How many times can a school reject you before taking you in?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I'm just pretty decent at ignoring useless info. I'd prefer it if other people were as well. That doesn't mean you should have free reign to instigate, but I'm trying to be less of a nazi.😉

Haha...you know I can't help it, stabbing at people's weak emotional states on the intarrweb and all its seriousness.

If this wasnt a board, i would have plenty to say to you. I dont need thicker skin, what you need is respect for other people. Obviously my GPA is better than you so dont tell me what I need...you're not my father. I dont need your advice

You DO need thicker skin. Perhaps if your skin was thicker your self-esteem wouldn't be in the toilet.

You don't want to hear what people have to say to help you improve your situation, so you must want to hear this... GIVE UP, QUIT TRYING, YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO GET IN. :meanie: Quit picking fights with people who have tried to give you ideas to help overcome your problem.

And, lose the whine. It's not very attractive. Perhaps that's what is really holding you back.

I have been rejected at Midwestern Glendale twice now, denied by U of A, Vegas, Univ of Colorado and University of New Mexico.

How many times can you be rejected by schools before they finally let you in? I am ready to walk away. My science GPA is 3.3.

I can understand how you feel. I just my rejection letter yesterday from UMKC. It was the third time I had been rejected (3 consecutive years) and I'm starting to think I should move on.
My science GPA is 3.3, overall 3.0. I have a BS in Chemistry. I have worked as a Pharmacy tech for the last 3 years. I scored a 82 on the PCAT (up 23 pts from the previous year). I volunteer at my church. And I live in the KC area. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I have to admit that I was really expecting an interview this year. I'm very disappointed. I'm getting older and the longer I'm out of school the harder it will be to go back.

If you want to be a pharmacist, apply to at least 10 schools, go to all the interviews and attend at any school that you get accepted into. It is too much pressure to rely on one school and who wants to deal with rejection year after year.

Stewiefan-

If you are a poor applicant then you will be rejected time and time again, they are not going to eventually just cave and let you in because you kept filling out pharmcas. Apply to more schools, ask what you an do to improve or just give up.

u have a great shot its just that ur not applying smartly. Dont just apply to random schools or schools u must go to, look into schools with low pcat and gpa averages then apply early. Ur stats should definitely get u in somewhere i mean i got in with lower science gpa then u and 70 pcat (retake and got 90's though). Also, when u apply for next term apply to another type of school such as Physician assist. or something else as a backup. SO at least u will have more options, it cost money but whats a few dollars on ur future. as for ur age, dont worry so much about age after all theirs only so much u can work and do with ur money. usually ur first year as a pharmacist should help u buy a house (with mortgage), luxury car and max out little things u need then the rest just goes into ur bank account lol. gluck

UNM doesn't look at the PharmCAS overall GPA - they calculate your GPA on the prereqs only.
