How much do you usually spend on one interview? (Including flight, hotel, food and car service)
Depends how far you are flying, where and how long are you staying and if public transportation is available.
Probably anywhere from 500-750 would be average I'd say but of course depends on other factors.
500-700 Per interview? Jesus.
If you think thats too much, please give me your tips. With flight fare, hotel, food, ground transportation, etc., this can easily go into the 500-700 range.
I have already spent almost $1900 on applications alone and I still have to pay extra for several supplemental applications! This is before traveling for any interviews.
Oh sorry, I haven't even applied yet, I am only a junior. I just didn't know that these were the average costs, I was thinking they were 200-300 but I guess it is what it is. Mind as well start saving up this summer for all of these unnecessary charges.
On a related note, I'm having panic attacks over flying because (1) Flying is terrifying and (2) Do they even disinfect all surfaces of an airplane's interior after each flight?
*shudders*
Flying is safest mode of transportation per mile. Probably not, you can bring wipes if it really bothers you...
*gasps*I'm flying from Indy to Florida in 12 days. So far for flight, rental car, and hotel I'm looking at $400. I figure after everything is said and done with food I'll be around $450.
5000???!??!??!?Plus you need a deposit for the school if you get accepted. Normally around a 1000. But NYU is like 5000 (I think).
You want to be a dentist but you're that much of a germaphobe? I understand you wear gloves but good luck with that one, have you done any shadowing at free clinics? On a related note, I'm having panic attacks over flying because (1) Flying is terrifying and (2) Do they even disinfect all surfaces of an airplane's interior after each flight?
